Many of our patients are busy professionals, parents, and working people who spend long hours at a desk, travel frequently, or work in physically demanding jobs. These lifestyles often lead to pain, stiffness, and injuries that slow you down.
That’s why we’re excited to bring Osteopathy to Centreline Physio, Sports & Wellness.
Our mission has always been to prevent injuries, restore your body, and perform your best. Osteopathy is the perfect addition to help us continue delivering on that promise.
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a drug-free, non-invasive manual therapy that looks at the health of your entire body, not just the part that hurts. Your body is one connected system. If your structure is off, your function suffers.
Osteopathy works to restore natural movement, improve circulation, and decrease restrictions in your body. It is gentle, effective, and safe for all ages. Whether you are an office worker dealing with back and neck tension, an athlete recovering from injury, or someone who simply wants to move and feel better, Osteopathy can help.
Meet Our Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
We are proud to introduce Myles Pye (M, OMSc) as our new Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. Many of you already know Myles from his role as a Physiotherapy Assistant at the clinic. He has since completed his Master of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and is a member of the Canadian Osteopathic Association (OSTCAN).
Myles brings a unique approach that combines physics, problem-solving, and patient care. His goal is not just to help you feel better today but to keep you moving and feeling your best for the long term.
What to Expect in an Osteopathy Session
Think of Osteopathy as a reset for your body. Treatments are gentle, hands-on, and tailored to your needs.
Some of the techniques Myles may use include:
- Myofascial release, which relieves tension in connective tissue to restore motion.
- Post-isometric release, a type of stretching that uses your own effort to lengthen tight muscles.
- Reciprocal inhibition, which relaxes one muscle so the opposite muscle can function properly.
- Articular oscillations, rhythmic movements that restore smooth and pain-free motion in your joints.
Every session is designed to target the root cause of pain and support your body’s natural healing process.
Why This Matters
If you are tired of quick fixes that only mask pain, Osteopathy offers a solution that looks deeper. Whether your goal is to stay sharp at work, keep up with your family, or finally move without pain, we are here to help.
Centreline Physio is now offering Osteopathy in Brantford with appointments available today. Contact us to book your first session with Myles.
