Are Pilates covered?
Our Pilates is billed as physiotherapy. This means: It is tax-free under extended health insurance plans, or as a tax-deductible medical expense on your tax return.
Is Pilates for me?
One on one training with Pilates from a physiotherapist makes sure principals of physiotherapy will be included in the treatment, which differentiates this style of Pilates from the rest. This includes a solid knowledge base in regard to musculoskeletal imbalance, those suffering from injury or mobility issues, and injury prevention.
With their advanced knowledge of biomechanics and rehabilitation, Pilates is ideal for beginners, long-time Pilate’s veterans looking to progress, and people with injuries or chronic physical impairments.
Significance is placed on mobility throughout the whole body to increase strength through stability. This is a whole-body system which can even be modified for non-weight bearing exercise, and the focus remains the same: Weak areas of the body will be strengthened to help re-constitute balance and functionality, by gradually preparing you for more taxing movements
