COVID-19 Updates

Effective May 27th, 2020 Ontario’s Minister of Heath announced that regulated health professionals can, gradually and carefully begin providing all services, including non-essential services when all necessary precautions and protocols are in place to protect patients and themselves. This means that we are now able to see some patients in person at the clinic.

Services relevant to our clinic:

• Physiotherapists • Massage Therapists • Dietitians • Kinesiologists –Pedorthist (Orthotics)

The Ministry of Health and our Colleges encourage health professionals to continue to use virtual and/or telephone consultations, when and where possible. As such, our video rehab sessions will continue to be a part of our clinical practice. Great for those who are enjoying this new and convenient way of receiving care while practicing physical distancing!

We will partner with you towards your goals to PREVENT injuries, RESTORE your body and PERFORM your best using the following options:

  •  Video-rehab virtual sessions
  • In person sessions at the clinic
  • Hybrid: Combination of in-person & virtual care sessions

We have returned to the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre from our temporary location. Please be advised that although we are open,  the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre is not, so things will work a little differently when you return at this location.  For the time being, please  go to the Door marked #32 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre (to the left  of WGSC main entrance/ adjacent to our clinic).  There will be signs to let you know you are in the right place.

Services will also resume in our Ancaster location with similar guidelines.

When you book your appointment, our staff will ask you screening questions to confirm the status of your health and whether it is more appropriate to treat you in person, or through web-based video.

Appointment Reminders/Screening: On the morning of your appointment you will be emailed patient screening questions.
*CHECK YOUR EMAIL* Please identify with a negative or positive screen.  If you have a positive screen, unfortunately, you will not be able to come to your appointment, but your session can easily be converted to video rehab so you will not miss out.

“Paperwork”: Before you come to your appointment, please complete any relevant paperwork at home and return it to us electronically if possible.

Washroom: If possible, please use washroom facilities before coming to your appointment.

Physical Distancing:

Please follow the 2m/6ft rules when possible.

When you come to your appointment, please bring a mask with you (if you don’t have one you may purchase one from the clinic).

Limited Visitors:
We kindly ask that you only bring yourself into the clinic appointment, unless you are a minor or require a caregiver.  In person appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing, and cleaning/disinfecting of treatment areas.

Metered Entry:
Please wait outside the external door at your appointment time.

A staff member will let you in and will take you through the screening process.

  • Sanitizing your hands
  • Health screen questions
  • Ensuring you have a mask
  • Issue a sanitized bin for your “essential” personal items (e.g. purse, wallet, keys, jacket).
  • Our staff will maintain a 2 metre distance during this process and be wearing the necessary protective equipment such as a mask, gloves, face shields.
  • A “Seal of Approval” will be awarded (white stickers for clients & coloured stickers for staff) everyone knows we’re good to go!

Pathway to Care:
Once you enter the clinic space, you will be escorted to your personal treatment zone.  For our carpeted treatment rooms, you will be asked to leave your shoes outside these zones.  You may want to bring a pair of clean socks with you if you are wearing sandals.  Before the session begins, we will discuss any questions you may have and best practices to ensure we maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Exiting:  You will be instructed/escorted by a team member to exit the correct door.

Payment Options:

  • Direct payment from third party payers (e.g. extended health insurance, WSIB, MVA)
