Centreline Physio, Sports & Wellness can continue to provide both in person and virtual/telehealth options to clients.
No further restrictions on our practice have been announced to date. The Ministry of Health continues to encourage all health care professionals to offer virtual care and tele-rehabilitation as much as possible to help minimize in-person interactions. Our video rehab sessions will continue to be a part of our clinical practice. Great for those who are enjoying this convenient way of receiving care while practicing physical distancing!

SERVICE DELIVERY
We will partner with you towards your goals to PREVENT injuries, RESTORE your body and PERFORM your best using the following options:
- Video-rehab virtual sessions
- In person sessions at the clinic
- Hybrid: Combination of in-person & virtual care sessions
LOCATION
For the Brantford location: Please be advised WE ARE OPEN regardless of whether the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre is not during Restrictions or Lockdowns. If/when the WGSC have entry restrictions, please go to the Door marked #32 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre (to the left of WGSC main entrance/ adjacent to our clinic). There will be signs to let you know you are in the right place.
Services continue in our Ancaster location with similar guidelines.
BEFORE YOUR IN-PERSON APPOINTMENT
When you book your appointment, our staff will ask you screening questions to confirm the status of your health and whether it is more appropriate to treat you in person, or through web-based video. Initial assessments will be triaged via telephone or virtual appointment.
Appointment Reminders/Screening: Prior to your appointment you will be emailed patient screening questions.
*CHECK YOUR EMAIL* Please identify with a negative or positive screen. If you have a positive screen, unfortunately, you will not be able to come to your appointment, but your session may be converted to video rehab if possible.
“Paperwork”: Before you come to your appointment, please complete any relevant paperwork at home and return it to us electronically if possible.
Washroom: If possible, please use washroom facilities before coming to your appointment.
Physical Distancing:
Please follow the 2m/6ft rules when possible.
Masks:
When you come to your appointment, please bring a WELL FITTED mask that covers your NOSE and MOUTH with you (if you don’t have one you may purchase one from the clinic).
Limited Visitors:
We kindly ask that you only bring yourself into the clinic appointment, unless you are a minor or require a caregiver. In person appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing, and cleaning/disinfecting of treatment areas.
Metered Entry:
Please wait outside the external door at your appointment time.
Screening:
A staff member will let you in and will take you through the screening process.
- Sanitizing your hands
- Health screen questions
- Ensuring you have a mask
- Issue a sanitized bin for your “essential” personal items (e.g. purse, wallet, keys, jacket).
- Our staff will maintain a 2 metre distance during this process and be wearing the necessary protective equipment such as a mask, gloves, face shields.
Pathway to Care:
Once you enter the clinic space, you will be escorted to your personal treatment zone. For our carpeted treatment rooms, you will be asked to leave your shoes outside these zones. You may want to bring a pair of clean socks with you if you are wearing sandals. Before the session begins, we will discuss any questions you may have and best practices to ensure we maintain a clean and safe working environment.
AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
Exiting: You will be instructed/escorted by a team member to exit the correct door.
Payment Options:
- Direct payment from third party payers (e.g. extended health insurance, WSIB, MVA)
- Debit (TAP transaction is preferred)
- Credit card VISA, MC, AMEX (TAP is preferred, or you may leave your number on file)

- Paperless receipts will be issued.

VIRTUAL/TELEHEALTH SERVICES

WEB-BASED VIDEO and TELEPHONE IN-HOME SESSIONS:
- During the COVID-19 outbreak, it is supported as good practice by our regulatory and governing bodies.
- Many insurers/funders support and authorize the use of telehealth based in-home sessions as an accepted form for the delivery of our services.
Your In-Home Session includes a consultation conducted by secure web-based video or a telephone call using the same knowledge and judgement as an in-person session.
What can be included?
- We can discuss your concerns, review your status/progress, and establish your current functional status and goals.
- We can review your post-operative rehab protocols, your recovery status and if you are meeting the expected milestones.
- We can observe, demonstrate, review and update your exercise program.
- We can arrange exercise handouts/pictures/videos that can be emailed directly to you.
- We can arrange for supplies/equipment needed for home programs.
- We will be assessing, observing and providing feedback on the quality of your movement patterns, range of movement, movement biomechanics and function.
- We can advise on how to cope/manage your pain.
- We can advise and plan for return to work, daily function, and recreational activities.
- We can assist with disability planning, such as complete forms for Return to Work, Functional Ability Forms, Disabilty reports, etc.
- In general, we can advise on preventing further injuries, restoring your body, performing your best...and more!
